Calculadora de CGPA
Calculate your Cumulative Promedio de Calificaciones by entering each semester's GPA and credit hours.
What is CGPA?
CGPA (Cumulative Promedio de Calificaciones) is your overall academic performance across all semesters combined. Unlike a semester GPA which covers only one term, CGPA provides a comprehensive picture of your entire academic career.
The CGPA is calculated by weighting each semester's GPA by the number of credits taken that term. Semesters with more credits have a greater influence on your cumulative average.
How CGPA is Calculated
For each semester, multiply the semester GPA by the number of credits attempted. Sum these products across all semesters, then divide by the total number of credits.
Step-by-Step Example
| Semester | GPA | Créditos | Quality Points |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fall 2024 | 3.50 | 15 | 52.5 |
| Spring 2025 | 3.80 | 16 | 60.8 |
| Fall 2025 | 3.20 | 14 | 44.8 |
| Spring 2026 | 3.60 | 15 | 54.0 |
CGPA = (52.5 + 60.8 + 44.8 + 54.0) ÷ (15 + 16 + 14 + 15) = 212.1 ÷ 60 = 3.54

Preguntas Frecuentes
GPA can refer to either a semester or cumulative average. CGPA specifically means the cumulative (overall) average across all terms. When someone says "my GPA is 3.5," they usually mean their cumulative GPA.
The impact depends on how many total credits you have. Early in your career, one semester has a large effect. After 60+ credits, one bad term has a smaller (but still noticeable) impact. Use this calculator to model different scenarios.
In the Indian CBSE system, multiply CGPA by 9.5 to get an approximate percentage. For example, CGPA 8.5 × 9.5 = 80.75%. Other systems use different conversion factors. See our CGPA to GPA conversion guide.
